Background Information:
The subject site is located in the northwest quadrant of the City in the Community of Evanston. The site is bounded by 144 Avenue NW to the north, 14 Street NW to the east, Stoney Trail NW and existing and future residential development to the south and Symons Valley Parkway NW to the west. The development proposes a density of 7.1 units per acre consisting of single-detached and semi-detached housing. The proposed uses are consistent with the Symons Valley Community Plan and will provide a logical extension to the existing and future residential development.
Motions:
ADOPT, Moved by Alderman J. Stevenson, Seconded by Alderman R. Jones, that the Calgary Planning Commission Recommendations contained in Report CPC2011-060 be adopted, as follows:
That Council:
- ADOPT the proposed redesignation of 3.76 ha ± (9.29 ac ±) located at 14111 – 14 Street NW (Portions of NE 1/4 Section 32-25-1-5) from Residential – One Dwelling (R-1) District, Residential – One Dwelling (R-1s) District and DC Direct Control District to Residential – One Dwelling (R-1) District and Residential – One/Two Dwelling (R-2) District, in accordance with the Corporate Planning Applications Group recommendation; and
- 2. Give three readings to the proposed Bylaw 43D2011.
